The Oasis Project
We have been awarded $2,500 from the Architecture for Humanity micro grant program! Stay tuned for updates on project progress!
The Oasis project is AFHA’s proposed solution to a recognized shortage of proper public transportation amenities. This project is exciting because it was developed from our initial open forum meeting. For this project, AFHA has hosted an open call design competition to gather local architects, artists, designers, builders and volunteers to create bus shelter designs. Our 2010 installment resulted in 7 entries from Atlanta, Washington D.C. and California!

2010 Winning Design, SSA + D, Sarah Green and Daniel A. Echevarria
Currently, the winning design is under structural review. Plans to build and install with community volunteers continue.
