In March 2011, AFHA, partnering with the Center for Sustainable Communities; adopted a section of the Atlanta Beltline in support of the ongoing Beltline revitalization project. The quarter mile section spans from Washington Park to Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.
AFHA organizes a monthly clean-up effort in which hundreds of bags of garbage have been removed from the site along with mounds of natural debris. A continuous effort is made in order to maintain the cleanliness of our section while the Beltline is coming to life.
This transformation of our section would not be possible without the help of our selfless volunteers. Along with a special thanks to our local Planeteers and the crew of One More Generation for their helping hands.
